I would rather not hear about the economy right now so I watched goat videos on YouTube to destroy some brain cells and then checked some spam mail.

Anywhoo, I fed my fashion bug here at The Sartorialist and the went over to the NY Times for my favorite "On the Street with Bill Cunningham" I just love it and look forward to it every week.

I like to call this so called economy crash ".com bomb 2.0." Why?
Probably because it took the average computer user a few years to figure out how to do more research online. I wouldn't doubt half of them are stealing music, movies etc to keep up with the Jones. Just look at youtube and the way people glamorize their computers. I am surprised nobody robbed their houses yet. Question is, they have all of this, but do they know how to use it...

and below in my own post you will notice I am glamorizing my eMAC of olden days lol! Hey this isn't a Tour de' France on my room, gimme a break! Who the hell wants a broken down eMAC?

Welcome to 1981...ieeEEE

I know one day my eMAC is just going to up and die a slow computer death. It is making that scary fan noise like when I first got it..so everything is already backed up. I was reading some of the eMAC Apple forums and it seems many people had screen issues as well, but the machine is so old the only thing it can become is a server, internet radio player, or a very large piece of Apple art. The other day the screen was wobbling to the music in the left hand corner so that worried me a bit. Many years ago I got it home and dragged its heavy plastic case up the stairs, plugged it in, and *POOF* the screen went out. [my luck] I tortured the warranty people and they came out to fix it. Thank you :) I can't complain..this machine has been great and in terms of computers, its ancient now. I wouldn't mind getting a monthra sized screen though hmmmm ...

My Youtube Background Error story:

I am not really a HUGE fan of Youtube, I enjoy both Youtube and Vimeo but I really don't create alot video so....anyway I tried to upload a background image and I really should have known better. I have to applaud them for forcing the user to upload a small background image. No longer will we have to wait ten years for a page to load because "joe user" doesn't realize that size does matter.

So I took my chances, didn't want to repeat my image so I created mine to their specs and I get "Not a Proper HTML Color". Ok..No way in flaming hell did I screw that one up...So I trek over to the HELP section and click on the little box that is similar to my problem. This really doesn't tell them anything...this only says it isn't working..I can't even tell the admin WHAT exactly isn't working. So now I am on a mission..I went to the Google forum, can't sign up for that cause I am not a "current member of that specific forum"..guess I have to wait to get approved?¿

this is what I get:

DEFINE QUICK.
Forget a background. Who cares. So I just wasted like who knows how long
trying to QUICKLY tell you....therefore, I give up, and besides..who needs a background anyway :P

Internet and Info Addiction..our future?
NY Times - "Overfeeding of Information" by Alex Williams
Max Kerning
"...everywhere I am assulted by sloppy text that is displeasing to the eye"

"If you do not believe Alphania exist, you are an imbecile. The reason
you do not know of it is simple. In 1408, the king became displease
by the appearance of the country's name on a continental map (the
letters were haphazardly space). When His Highness attempted to
argue his point, the ruling of cartographers (a short-sighted
and vindictive group) placed an infinate ban on the nation, preventing
it from ever appearing on a map again."

Sometimes I can't believe I used to draw on punchcards and use Fortran sheets as doodle paper. I guess I was recycling without even realizing. There was a time where I was still in the womb while my Mom used Fortran on a terminal. I didn't know what those giant machines were, I knew they made ALOT of noise and looked rather spacey. Flourescent green text on a black background..not exactly pleasing to the eyes.

I think I just Twittered my brain right out of my skull. I did however add a few decent contacts in hopes of getting back into my "VDP Printing" position. There are so many names for it...designer, programmer, variable data, printing, admin, on demand designer..etc..

I can't stand the new Comcast online mail system "Smartzone", but hey..they wanted to upgrade. I can't stand a flash email system. It must be some sort of interface pet peeve. All the buttons are mooshed together and they are in different spots. You say "ahhh stop your whining" ... ok :)

I don't know how many of you live with an older relative, but I stumbled upon this and thought you might like to see it. Sometimes I think of the age gap between me and my grandmother. Most people live away from their grandparents, or they passed away. I don't mind listening to their stories or maybe sharing a good laugh. I guess people just tend to ignore that they still have feelings.

reason why:
"
when you say you have 10,000 page views in a typical day, that likely includes pages requested by Googlebot and other spiders that are indexing your content, pages requested by mobile devices or similar that can't get all of the elements and might simply ignore requests to include external data and users who have disabled or turned off JavaScript which prevents the ad from showing up. In addition, some people run ad blocking software
which means that they tend to get blank space where ads would otherwise be shown." - Dave Taylor
